Subscribe by RSSNormally Paris Hilton gets under my skin and I really have no respect for the woman whatsoever. However, that being said, the latest YouTube “campaign” video she released endorsing herself for President I found to be quite hilarious.

I was quite disgusted that McCain would use images of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton to begin with when trying to paint Obama as a liberal celebrity. Clearly those two women don’t have all their ducks in a row and seem to be missing a few marbles from the bag, if you get my drift.
The Hilton ad, however, is pretty funny. I do agree with some of her positions such as leaving a high carbon footprint by flying to Maui for the best tan. Her bipartisan energy plan makes sense as well along with the tax incentives for auto makers. In fact, her positions may be clearer than the actual candidate’s positions. Of course, I also support painting the White House pink but anyone who knows me probably already knew that.
I’m not the only one who found it provocative, according to Fox News it’s been picked up by a congressman who mentioned Paris Hilton during a debate:
Move over T. Boone Pickens. It’s Paris Hilton’s turn to steer the energy debate.
Texas Rep. Michael Burgess gave the socialite unexpected clout in the raging policy feud on Capitol Hill on Thursday, urging colleagues to consider the energy plan she proposed in a mock campaign ad.
“Even Paris Hilton had an energy plan that she’s talking about,” Burgess told reporters, as he and other House Republicans continued to protest Democrats who blocked a vote on offshore oil drilling before breaking for a five-week recess.
“Well, let’s bring up the Paris Hilton plan,” Burgess said.
There may have been just a trace of sincerity to that.
McCain and Obama are both boring, I think I’ve found my candidate.

What’s happened to this site lately? It used to be the place I looked to for political happenings, but it’s been so quiet here lately, and now with this video two days after it first appeared.
I thought the video was hilarious although the beginning part with the Golden Girls and KFC didn’t make much sense to me. Love the line “See you at the debate bitches!”
Kinda bizarre that McCain did use Paris Hilton in a negative way when her family have donated to his campaign. I guess they maxed out in contributions and McCain has no further use for them?!?!?!

nzpudding, I thought the video was hilarious as well. Usually I wouldn’t write a commentary on something this silly, however I found this video to be lighthearted and fun. Got to love when out of the blue someone like Paris Hilton comes along and side swipes the candidates.

Paris obviously has some marketing savvy; she can turn anything into a PR boost for herself… thx to McCain’s miscalculation, she’ll be selling more cans of wine than ever

Surely,you are not still harping on an eight year old tape which was put on the web by a vindictive former boyfriend.
Paris Hilton did nothing different from what all couples do, and she hasn’t made another tape since,so I tend to believe her when she says the tape was not intentional.
At any rate, Ms Hilton is an excellent business woman. I really like her new BFF show and her new fragrance.
Seeing Paris with talented and successful musician Benji Madden makes me truly happy that she found a good and decent man who loves her.
