Video: John Edwards on Face the Nation 1/20/08
Here is the video of John Edwards’ entire interview this morning on CBS Face the Nation, January 20, 2008:
At least he can admit he “got his butt kicked in Nevada” so I know he isn’t completely naive. He does a good job of pointing out spinning the fact that this election is about the issues, not the fact that he is losing and will not become the nominee.
He says this is a “long process” but he’s wrong this year, it’s rather short actually. Come Super Tuesday when Edwards doesn’t win a single state, perhaps the cold hard reality will eventually begin setting it.
Furthermore, the difference between the media burying McCain last September and John Edwards is that there are no clear front runners on the Republican side. Clearly on the Democratic side there are two front runners, neither of which are Edwards.

Edwards, whether this is deliberate or not, is doing what Ralph Nader did to the left, in the Democratic Primary.
If he dropped out, Obama would gain more of his supporters than Clinton.
I generally agree. Edwards must realize that he’s not going to win. If he truly prefers Obama over Clinton, his dropping out and endorsing Obama could probably give Obama the boost he needs to really give Clinton a run for her money.
Seems to me that Edwards’ ego is getting the better of him and clouding his rational judgement.
I’m glad that he hasn’t dropped out! I’m all for John Edwards! It shows how much he cares by staying in the race and getting his message across!! GO JOHN GO!!!!
