Here is the video of Hillary’s entire interview this morning on Meet the Press with Tim Russert.
It’s in 5 parts hosted on YouTube, they’ll advance automatically:
A report on the appearance from WIS-TV:
COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - WIS News 10 played host to one of the biggest political interview shows on television Sunday morning, and also one of the country’s biggest political stars.
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton sat in the hot seat, taking questions from NBC’s Tim Russert for an hour-long session of Meet the Press.
The two discussed foreign policy, the environment, Clinton’s presidential race with Illinois Senator Barack Obama, and even the Monica Lewinsky scandal during her husband’s second term as president.
Then this from First Read:
COLUMBIA, S.C. — If you’re looking for a good picture to illustrate the “New Hillary” — look at how Clinton acted after Meet the Press. She was greeted by supporters as she left the studio here where the show was taped, and she took a detour on the way to her car to reach through the iron gate to shake hands. After a few seconds, she gestured and said “I’ll come around” and walked out onto the sidewalk to continue greeting people.
People on the street were surprised. “I can’t believe that just happened!” commented one volunteer in a Hillary T-shirt said, looking at the hand Clinton was shaking.
Perhaps she is trying to increase her likability numbers to at least begin competing with Obama.
What’d you all think of her performance?
Update
Giuliani, Romney, and Huckabee were on morning shows as well, they’re also currently uploading and will be online later.

One thing Hillary has been able to do, amazingly well, is have her cake and eat it too.
She was able to come off as extremely strong during the last debate, and then display emotion and ‘weakness’ with her teary eyed speech the next day.
Now she can allow her attacks of Obama to continue, while coming off as a standup, respectful and composed person.
We talk about the Obama camp leaking information about Hillary– specifically accusing her of what she has said about him. And there was earlier the Obama website showing the countdown for how many days it had been since Hillary had pledged to not go negative– and how many days she had gone negative.
What have we seen/heard negative about Hillary herself from the Obama camp? I mean, aside from critiquing her for what she is saying about Obama, has Obama really attacked or leaked information that goes after Hillary herself? Not yet, but this might happen if this cake-eating fest continues.
One last thing– Hillary is continuing to capitalize on adopting different candidate’s slogans and ideas.
Earlier we had a blog entry that showed Hillary using Obama’s key words, “Fired up and ready to go.” She has adopted Obama’s slogan for the youths, and in this current Meet the Press, she used Obama’s call for “transparent government,” argument…and took Edwards’s argument of uprooting “deeply entrenched special interest groups,” in Washington.
She’s using the tag lines that work for these candidates, and she doesn’t seem to be getting called on it. When she told Tim Russert she was going to bring back troops in Iraq — bit by bit — every month, was this her initial plan or the one she made after hearing it from Obama? This one I am not sure about, but deserves scrutiny.
Her ‘remodeling’ could do is make her appear completely similar to her competing rivals– and leave ‘experience’ as the sole differentiation.
She is good. She answer everything and seems make sense. I do think she is not being negative about obama. She just clear thing up about what she know about obama. If she made a mistake or not tell the truth I believe obama campaign will have something to say back and public will know.
I agree with Michael seems she use tag lines from other candidates that works. But about bring back troops in Iraq, as far as I follow the debates since the beginning, that always her intention to pull them gradually.
She’s obviously the best and most experienced candidate to be the Democratic nominee. Most people seem to have developed a “romance” with Obama and are treating him as if he’s going to be the next ‘American Idol’ when obviously the position of the Presidency is a far more serious issue.
I don’t understand how she’s meant to “polarise” people? Is she apparently polarising because she’s a woman? because she’s a former first lady? or because she’s career driven?
Whether or not she wins Nevada or South Carolina she will still get the nomination as she’ll do better than Obama in the Feb 5 states.
I don’t get it.
What I find to be interesting is how the media treats this.
Tim Russert just showed a very short extract of Bill Clinton’s speech and used that to show how he offended African Americans.
Now, imagine this happening to a Republican Candidate. I bet you couldn’t count to 2 before someone cries “LIBERAL MEDIA!”
Shakespeare sums up the whole ‘affair’ best though: “Much Ado About Nothing”.
