Audio: My Interview on BTR Today w/ Shaun Daily

On Thursday, 1/10/08, around 6:30pm eastern time, I personally did an interview on BTR Today discussing the Nevada caucuses, the South Carolina debate, and other issues in the 2008 Presidential election with host Shaun Daily. For your enjoyment and ridicule, I have cut and uploaded my 30 minute segment with him:

Obviously the server problems I mentioned have now been cleared up and we have ample power to serve everyone. The transfer’s been completed and we’ve got all the resources we need now.

So, give me your comments, criticisms, and hopefully some praise.

  1. Nate,

enjoyed your interview. Came off with a lot of good comments. On Richardson, do you really think he was ‘honorable’ for not endorsing, or do you think he is continuing to push the VP line by not alienating one of the top-runners?

And for assessing the Democrat’s push for Nevada, why did you not feel that South Carolina could negate the Nevada win? (e.g., if Hillary won in Nevada and Barack won in South Carolina, would HIllary come away with anything– especially with such a close primary in NH?).

  2. Richardson may have some ulterior motives running for the VP slot and that may be the sole reason he didn’t endorse anyone. However, either way I still don’t think it’s a bad thing for candidates to drop out and not endorse anyone. It’s not a bad thing if they do either but to drop out and let your supporters make up their own mind the way they did at the beginning seems better to me.

You’re right in that if she wins Nevada and Obama wins South Carolina, we’re back to a tie again. However, Nevada momentum might help her regain some ground in South Carolina. Fewer people focus on Nevada but if she wins again there it will become a bigger media spotlight so it will give he a few days to take that to South Carolina.

And thank you for the complements on it.
