1 hour, 29 minutes agoPORTSMOUTH, New Hampshire (Reuters) - A teary-eyed Hillary Clinton pushed for support on Monday as polls showed her poised for a huge New Hampshire loss to Democratic rival Barack Obama, but the former front-runner vowed to carry on with her presidential quest even if she loses.
Obama warned supporters against overconfidence as a flood of new polls gave him a double-digit lead over Clinton one day before the state casts the next votes in the race for the White House.
Polls will close in the state at 8 p.m. EST on Tuesday, with results expected to begin rolling in quickly.
At a campaign event in Portsmouth, Clinton choked up and grew uncharacteristically emotional as she talked about her reasons for seeking the presidency in the November election.
“Some of us put ourselves out there and do this,” she said, her voice breaking and her eyes glistening with tears, “against some pretty difficult odds and we do it each one of us because we care about our country.”
“But some of us are right and some of us are wrong,” she said in a hesitant, quaking voice. “Some of us are ready and some of us are not.”
And in my opinion it’s high time you realize….you’re not.

Here’s the video this is referring to:
It wasn’t all that teary eyed, she wasn’t balling or something. Just a little choked up it seems.

I think it’s high time the nation realize that she’s no more a cold, calculating bitch than any other candidate on either side of the fence. All the Democratic frontrunners want change. The question is who has the ability to deliver it. Clinton is the most ready person of all of them to deliver. Her biggest hurdle would be her ability to unite the country, seeing as such a large group of people hate her to the core. Obama could do that simply by winning the Presidency. It’s a tough decision, but the blind Clinton bashing needs to stop.

I watched the video @ http://www.youtube.com/wa.....fRLEvQsv9A and I’m still doubting whether she faked the tears as part of her ‘warm personality tour’ or whether she was emotional because she is too fatigued. Which makes me think she will not be ready on Day One to be our president in the White House.
How voters interpret Sen. Hillary Clinton’s composure.
How do you interpret Hillary’s tearful emotional moment?

.
I don’t know, it just seems a little contrived, doesn’t it?
In the beginning she is choked up, and suddenly, within a second, her voice returns to normal and she’s totally fine again… until the last phrase.
Her loss of composure seems awfully well timed.
Is it a coincidence that her “it’s personal” speech comes immediately after her strong retort to Edwards saying that the race was ‘personal’ for him, in the NH debate? Remember? He was explaining how personal the race was for him, and she said, “let’s take a reality break.” it was harsh. and now maybe she’s trying to redeem herself?
Plus, it’s not like she heard the poll numbers during the speech. I would think that someone with as much ‘experience’ as she, could hold themselves together over some bad news. I mean is this how she is going to act as President?
This is what is sad at this time. The way Clinton campaigned, the way she shifted with the tides of public opinion, and the recent ‘revamping’ of herself to look and act more like Obama since her defeat, makes her public disclosure questionable.
She is still 8% ahead in the polls, and is now appearing much more ’softer’ and ‘emotional’ than before, which is a much better makeover. She appeals to the public better in this way– and I could see her advisers explaining to her prior to the debate Saturday the need to display this type of persona.
So is it real? If it is, is being shown because of the ‘need for it’? These are unanswerable questions, but the mere raising of doubt reveals the lack of forthrightness and openness in her campaign to the present.
All of the Clinton-bashers need to take a step back and ask themselves why it is they specifically do not like her. Is it because she is a “her”? Is it because her name is Clinton? Like it or not, she is the most qualified Democratic candidate, and arguably the most qualified presidential candidate. And isn’t that what we are looking for?
How is Clinton the most qualified candidate? None of the candidates have ever been president. Its a combination of different skills one needs to take on the role. One being handling pressure which after her lastest stint shows that she would not be able to do the job well.
I would venture to say most people have a problem with because she lies, she hides, things, and that definitely makes her a true Clinton of epic proportions. I would say is a clear picture, nothing blind about it. What’s blind is those who choose to ignore fact and instead choose her fiction. Read up on your beloved candidate’s past before you speak. I think you will find yourself no longer a blind sheep in her flock of stupidity.
Many commentators have said negative things, and even laughed, at Hillary’s tears, but they have no idea the impact this will have on women.
I am a woman. I disagree with Hillary on most issues, and I would never vote for someone just because she is a woman, but I related to her at that moment when she teared up. It was just enough emotion to convey her sincerity. She probably was tired, but the others are showing their fatigue too. They are all human.
The male commentators have sort of viewed it as a weak moment, but, I promise you, the female population doesn’t see it that way at all.
