January 2008 Debate Schedule - Updated

Well Happy New Year to everyone! This is the first official post of 2008!

I thought I’d take this opportunity to highlight the January 2008 debate schedule for Republicans and Democrats.

The January debates kick off on the 5th with a 7pm Republican debate and 9pm Democratic debate, both on ABC back to back.

Here’s the entire month:

January 5, 2008: Video: Republicans on ABC from Manchester, NH @ 7pm
January 5, 2008: Video: Democrats on ABC from Manchester, NH @ 9pm
January 6, 2008: Video: Republicans on Fox News from Manchester, NH @ 8pm
January 10, 2008: Video: Republicans on Fox News from South Carolina @ 9pm
January 15, 2008: Video: Democrats on MSNBC from Las Vegas, NV @ 9pm
January 21, 2008: Video: Democrats on CNN from South Carolina @ 8pm
January 24, 2008: Video: Republicans on MSNBC from Florida Atlantic University @ 9pm
January 30, 2008: Video: Republicans on CNN from California @ 8pm ET
January 31, 2008: Video: Democrats on CNN from California @ 8pm ET

*All times Eastern

There you have it, 8 debates all lined up in one month following the Iowa caucuses on January 3rd. They should prove to be entertaining. As always, we’ll cover them all and have each debate video once it airs.

Also, you can view the full debate schedule and complete videos here.

Update

Wouldn’t you know it, I post this and then find news of yet another debate on January 6th on Fox News. There’s a big brouhaha that Ron Paul or Duncan Hunter hasn’t been invited to it. Well, actually there’s just a brouhaha that Paul wasn’t invited because he purports the media is bias and his supporters think he’s being wrongly excluded.

  1. Thank you Nate, for all your effort to put all the videos to this website, many times I haven’t watched directly all the debates from the TV but I always can watch them later here. It really convinients for me.

  2. Thanks I appreciate that, I hope everyone finds the site as useful as you have.

I figure now that it’s 2008, the rest of the population may now be interested in the election and they can all come watch the old debate videos here.

  3. The exclusion of Ron Paul from the 1-10-08 Fox News Debate was predictable. In fact, in an interview with Ron Paul about the possibility of running as an Independent, HE said that the media bias made the electoral process less than democratic (my paraphrase). This exclusion of Paul (or any other substantiative candidate) was to be expected. Fox (Murdoch) and the other GE/NBC, Disney/ABC, MSNBC, and the rest of the industrial, military, CORPORATE complex controllers must NOW figure out how to exclude a growing Ron Paul constituency — mainly the KIDS … yeah, those inadequately dumbed-down repositories of the enormous DEBT created by these self-serving controllers. Are we looking at another era pock marked by another Kent State; the shut-down of the Internet’ martial law — how far will they go to thwart the Constitution and the rule of law? 2fj40x

  4. Will Mike Huckabee be there

  5. “…That’s just nonsense, but whatever…” regarding Paul supporters who claim he is not included in upcoming debate because he says that the media is biased.

That’s just piss-poor writing. “Whatever” is a meaningless emoticon indicating that the writer has run out of steam.

I don’t think the claim is nonsense at all. I am not supporting anyone at this point, but if the purpose of a debate is to examine ideas, then all rational ideas should be heard.

I think he, like Kucinich, will be excluded under the rationale that they are “not viable” candidates. This is just proof that Paul’s claims are true. Until we get a chance to see how candidates do in real primaries, with meaningful numbers of delegates at stake, we do not know who is viable and who is not.

  6. My alleged quote above contained an error. it should have said “…utter nonsense..” not “…just nonsense…” This is bad writing too! Mea Culpa!

  7. Actually I agree, looking at the New Hampshire polls, Paul should be at least included, if he doesn’t replace Thompson.

  8. Thanks so much for providing this site. Very much appreciated.

  9. I just wanted to echo the thankful sentiments… It’s really helpful to be able to browse through the debates on your site, especially as I didn’t tape them at home (I love that they stream all the YouTube videos together). Thanks for helping me inform myself on the candidates and the issues! :)

  10. I don’t know where these poll results came from. I have news for you all of you, including the MEDIA who chooses to black out certain candidates….RON PAUL TAKES THE LEAD AND HE WILL BECOME OUR NEXT PRESIDENT!!!

  11. I challenge anyone to google Ron + Paul + prisonplanet and google Ron + Paul + stormfront. You’ll see that Ron Paul has strong support amongst the kooks and antisemites. Before you hand your cash over to Ron Paul decide whether you are a kook, an antisemite, or both.

  12. It is time for the polls to show whether or not Ron Paul (whom I will be voting for) is going to make a stand or not. I am dumbfounded how the primaries and caucuses are still leaving him at 4th place or worse. Is the general public so stupid and handicapped that Dr. Paul’s economic solutions are not apparent when he explains them? He (and maybe Kucinich and maybe Hunter) have the solutions and yet the lead 4 stooges (McCain, Huckabee, Romney, and Guiliani) who will leave us spread out all over the world keep coming up with the delegates. Come on, people, wake up and smell the future! They use the word “recession”, but only Dr. Paul, who has cured my apathy for now, has a solution that I like. Join us, please.

  13. Finally the debates are taking on some substance, what with all the economic flack, the jobs reports and such it’s good that topics like “Briefs or Boxers” are WAY behind us. Hopefully the Republicrats and Demopublicans of the past will be passed-up by the newbies getting involved in the process through outlets such as this. Thanx!

  15. Thanks for the schedule and the videos of the debates. It has given me an opportunity to watch them so I can make an educated decision.

  16. You know, Ron Paul could have done much better by far if he was not against gun ownership. myself and MANY other people would be on his side if not for this one issue.
There are hundreds of thousands of people in this country that WILL NOT give up their guns to anyone for any reason, NEVER.
DR Paul really hurt himself with his stance against guns.

  17. Your information is dead wrong on Paul’s stance on guns.
Not sure where you got that from, but he supports the right to arms and has the support from gun owners.
