Video: Explanation Of The Caucus Process

This was pretty informative. At least, I found it interesting since I have never personally participated in a caucus living in upstate New York. We have a primary that pretty much doesn’t matter.

Although if the weather’s bad, I’ve heard there could be as little as 5% voter turnout for caucuses which seems absurd since that small amount of people could be sculpting a national election. Another thing though, I find it interesting that some people believe the caucus process should be done away with because, God forbid, people have to “confront” each other and argue political issues.

We’re so afraid to have political discussions even when the caucus goers are on the same political side.

Either way, it would be interesting to see how, if at all, the presidential election process would change if caucuses were done away with.
