Democrats on gay rights.
By MICHAEL R. BLOOD, Associated Press Writer
LOS ANGELES - Democratic presidential contenders faced pointed questions on gay marriage and the basis for sexual orientation in a forum that forced candidates to confront politically touchy issues that have vexed a nation.
Former Sen. John Edwards found himself discussing whether he is comfortable around gay people — he said he is. New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson appeared to struggle with a question about why people become gay or lesbian. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton ended up defending the record of her husband, former President Clinton, on gay rights.
Ya know….I have nothing against gay people. However….I’m really sick of this gay rights crap. There’s 3 things in this world I learned you never mess with….mother-in-laws, mother nature, and mother friggers with guns. Last time I checked there was nothing in the constitution stating rights were due to those who defy the laws of nature and morality. Wanna be together fine, get your own individual benefits plans, I have one, I afford it just fine. You people know damn well you do NOT fit the mold of of what it means to be in a joined union between man and woman. I don’t understand how two women can say because they are in love they should be reconized the same as a husband and wife would. Sorry doesn’t work this way and if the world ran on those beliefs we would have been extinct a long time ago.
Wanna know why people are gay? I’ll tell you, plain and simple. It’s a mental disorder. A genetic screw up that wasn’t supposed to have occured. Gay and Lesbian people simply refuse to admit that the mere existance of thier sort of union and sexual behavior completely goes against the entire point of why there are both men and women. It’s called procreation. It wasn’t meant to be solved by science so that Jon and Bob or Sue and Amy can have a gay marriage and children. It’s the basics of mother nature. Anyone trying to argue or demands rights to the contrary are just plain idiots. Hillary just admit your lesbian and we’ll all move past this. Anyone notice she always points to her husbands achievements in order to compliment herself? Does anyone not see where this is headed? Billary ‘08.
Update by Nate:
This is hilarious:
Melissa Etheridge, “I don’t know if you understand the question”. In other words Bill Richardson, here’s your second chance to answer correctly since you didn’t the first time.
How dare Bill Richardson think that homosexuality is a choice? After all, everything else that has to do with sexuality is a choice according to Democrats, right? Sex offenders simply need “rehabilitation”, they obviously made a choice. But being gay, don’t question it, just accept it. Richardson later released this statement:
“Let me be clear — I do not believe that sexual orientation or gender identity happen by choice,” Governor Richardson said. “But I’m not a scientist, and the point I was trying to make is that no matter how it happens, we are all equal and should be treated that way under the law. That is what I believe, that is what I have spent my career fighting for. I ask that people look at my record and my actions and they will see I have been a true supporter of the LGBT community.”
In other words, let him be clear, he never meant to espouse an opinion that didn’t fall in line with homosexual activism. Richardson looked so ridiculously uncomfortable that it made me squirm watching it.
