This according to Newsday:
“There’s a real good chance,” Giuliani told The Associated Press on Saturday, after a 30-minute speech and question-and-answer session with party leaders in South Carolina. In a year, they will put on the first-in-the-South GOP presidential primary.
I cannot see a reason why Rudy wouldn’t run, he beats Hillary in almost every national poll so far.
“The fact is I appeal to conservative Christians the way I appeal to everyone else,” Giuliani said at a news conference. “I don’t think you have separate appeals to people.”
National defense and terror. People believe he will keep them safe.
Such as polls like this:
January 30th, 2007
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) leads New York Senator Hillary Clinton (D) 49% to 43% in the latest Rasmussen Reports Election 2008 poll. Those results are similar to the 47% to 43% edge Giuliani enjoyed over Clinton a month ago.
That’s a substantial lead for Giuliani. I mean, sure this is far from election day but that’s reason enough to stay in the race. My guess is that if conservatices would swallow Giuliani with a more conservative running mate.
Hillary Project has more on Giliani vs. Hillary polls as well.
